A new leaf.
People change. While we may have been more reckless and wild in our youth, we mellow with age, we mature, and we become responsible. It is unfair to carry a stigma throughout your entire life from the indescretions of your youth. Forgiveness is forgiveness, and people are allowed to learn and grow. Without pardons, there would be no forward progress.
